Donations & charitable giving.

Sisters of Sirius Chapter 008 gratefully accepts donations in support of our community programs, outreach initiatives, and chapter operations. By making a donation through our website or affiliated platforms, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • All donations are voluntary. No donation is required to access our website or general chapter information.
  • Donations are used for chapter purposes. All gifts support the mission of Sisters of Sirius #008, including community outreach, youth education programs, charitable fundraisers, and chapter operations. We do not commit gifts to specific line items unless a designated fund is explicitly identified at the time of donation.
  • No goods or services are provided in exchange for charitable contributions, unless a fundraiser item is specified (see Purchases section below).
  • Refunds on charitable donations are not typically provided once processed, except in cases of documented error (e.g., duplicate charge or technical error). Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the transaction and are reviewed at the discretion of chapter leadership.
  • Donation receipts will be provided by email for tax purposes. Please retain your receipt as documentation. We recommend consulting a tax professional regarding the deductibility of your contribution.

Sisters of Sirius Chapter 008 is affiliated with the Order of the Eastern Star. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of donations to our chapter, as your individual tax situation may vary.

IV · Purchases

Fundraiser purchases & orders.

From time to time, the Chapter offers fundraiser items for purchase, such as chili bowls, hot cocoa bar tickets, calendars, merchandise, or event tickets. By placing an order, you agree to the following:

  • All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice prior to order confirmation
  • Orders are confirmed upon receipt of payment through our secure payment processor
  • Pickup or delivery arrangements for food and physical items will be communicated via the contact information provided at checkout
  • All sales of perishable fundraiser food items are final and non-refundable once prepared, except in cases of documented product quality issues reported within 24 hours
  • Non-perishable merchandise may be exchanged (not refunded) within 14 days if unworn, unused, and in original condition, at the Chapter's discretion
  • We are not responsible for items damaged, lost, or delayed due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Event photography & media.

By attending chapter events or programs, you acknowledge that photographs and video may be taken and that the Chapter may use such materials on our website, social media, newsletters, and other chapter communications. If you do not wish to be photographed or featured, please inform a chapter officer at the start of the event.

When you voluntarily submit photographs or media to us — for example, for inclusion on our website or chapter materials — you grant the Chapter a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and reproduce that content for chapter purposes.
